Don’t post information on the Internet that could put you at risk of identity theft or being stalked. Personal information includes your name and the names of your family members, birthdays, address, and phone numbers.

It’s especially important to not be lulled into a sense of security on personal blogs or networking sites such as MySpace. If you do choose to post information about yourself (which is not recommended), password-protect your journal or networking page.
